Sometimes as a mum it is hard to find the strength to do something for yourself – I know I am a mum of two under 6 and oh my…days can be so hard and tiring sometimes. But once you find the strength to change and start to return to your old self (before babies) things start changing inside your body and outside. And that, let me tell you, will make you feel more beautiful.
I am not talking about the perfect body here although I am sure we all dream about it – I am talking about the “make you feel good” hormone – endorphins.
In January I re-started my Better Me Challenge and believe me after only one month I feel a lot better – my back doesn’t hurt anymore, I have a lot more energy, I sleep better and even my skin looks better. Exercise combined with a well-balanced diet and drinking a lot of water will make you feel like you can conquer the world! Plus you will be smiling more which means that you will look beautiful!

Thou Shalt Not Covet – I’ve been following and reading this site quite a lot recently and I must admit I love it! Michelle really knows how to present the products she reviews and tries out. Her site has it all – the latest beauty/make-up products news, style, competitions and so much more! Her photography skills make you think you can reach for the products and use them then and there! The one post that I find really useful for us all that want to try to be savvy when it comes to beauty products is The Under £10 Lip Balm Guide.
Becky from Family Budgeting is another lady I absolutely adore and her website is one of the ones I always look forward to reading. I like the way she writes and her saving tips. One of her latest beauty posts is Homemade Lavender and Coconut Milk Bath Soak Can you imagine how nice your skin will smell after having a soak in lavender and coconut milk?
On Ana’s blog from Ana Goes Green you can of course find out about the latest green beauty products. There is a lot of information about the ingredients in these products and how better they are on your skin compared with non-green products. Read more Green beauty news #15.
I am not sure if Stephen Beauty King UK and Rachel Beauty Queen UK are husband and wife but I like to think they are. I’ve been following their blogs and one thought I had was,”Oh my, I wonder what their bathroom looks like? I bet it is full of beauty products!” I didn’t know that a “50 Shades” range of beauty products existed until I read Rachel post 50 Shades of Grey Valentines or that men detoxifying shampoo existed until I read Stephen post Osmo effects detoxify shampoo.
When it comes to healthy food and drinks that make you feel good inside and out the website I always read is LisaGusto.com She’s the best when it comes to cooking raw and vlogging but she also writes about beauty and in her latest beauty post she is showing us her monthly beauty buys.
All the bloggers I’ve been talking to are saying that vlogging is “THE” thing this year but I think that only some of us are made for it! One of them is Emma from Emma and three. I love her parenting vlogs, the ones with her youngest daughter and of course her most recent beauty blog – All Boxed Up beauty unboxing. Definitely worth subscribing to.
We all need to try to make better choices for a healthier and longer life if possible don’t we? It was really inspiring to read Jennifer’s post Is this the year you stop hating your looks? if you haven’t read it yet you should, Jennifer and Susanna look so beautiful!
